Springboard is a non-profit agency formed in 1974 by business leaders and credit grantors. Our mission is simple, yet vital: Our people improve the lives and financial well-being of individuals and families by providing quality financial education and counseling.
The goal of the Springboard and Credit.org is to provide a comprehensive online hub of personal finance education and learning resources that guide consumers in improving their personal finances. It is Springboard’s mission is to provide financial education to members of the general public and families and individuals in need. Financial education is the core focus of our organization and is provided to any individual in need through our counseling services, free downloads and guides, online courses, seminars and workshops.
People logging onto Credit.org will find a wealth of useful information on budgeting, credit, housing, financing a car, insurance and avoiding (or recovering from) identify theft. In addition to videos, webcasts, financial calculators, the Blog has a vast library of written material covering a series of financial and money management related topics.
Springboard conducts MOVE (Move Outreach Valuable Education) seminars and workshops throughout Southern California, and Springboard supports distance learning via our on-line learning program, called the FIT Academy. Your FIT Academy instructors and bloggers are certified credit counselors, and your “Coach”. The FIT Academy’s curriculum is designed to help you PEDAL through a series of financial goals: Preparation, Education, Debt Management, Accumulation, and Lifelong Goals.

Springboard was founded in 1974 as Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Inland Empire (CCCS-IE). As we expanded our geographic borders beyond the Inland Empire we changed our name to Springboard to distinguish ourselves from other CCCS agencies.
