Get Checking Seminars from Springboard

If you have lost your banking privileges because of negative remarks on ChexSystems, you might not be able to open a bank account again for five years.
The Get Checking seminar can help you reinstate your banking privileges even if you’ve had problems in the past.
First call 1.800.426.9623 to get a copy of your ChexSystems report. You’ll need it to get credit for the course.
Register to attend our comprehensive six-hour seminar—the seminar fee is $60, payable by cash, money order, or cashier’s check.
You’ll also have to make sure all of the financial obligations noted in your ChexSystems report have been paid in full.
Then you’ll be able to take your course completion certificate to a participating bank or credit union to open your account.
Springboard offers face-to-face Get Checking education in San Diego County and Riverside, California. If you are in need of this service and do not live in Southern California, visit
getchecking.org and look for your state under “locations.” The Get Checking site also has a list of participating banks and credit unions under “financial institutions.”
When you complete the course, you’ll be able to take your course completion certificate to a participating bank or credit union to open your account.
To make a reservation for either of our seminars in Riverside or San Diego County, call 951.781.0114 ext. 7820, or email education@credit.org. You’ll need to bring a photo ID, a copy of your ChexSystems report and $60 in cash, cashier’s check or money order.
Note: If your bank account was closed due to suspected fraud, you will not be allowed to open a new account. If the fraud notation appears on your ChexSystems report erroneously, you may be able to dispute it and have it removed. Contact ChexSystems for information about the dispute process.
