Credit.org Re-Accredited by Council on Accreditation

Nonprofit Counseling Agency Continues to Meet the Highest National Standards

Riverside, CA (April 15, 2022) – Credit.org is proud to announce that it has received a three-year re-accreditation by the Council on Accreditation (COA).  COA is an international nonprofit organization that develops, applies, and promotes accreditation standards to improve service delivery outcomes.

“For decades, we have been accredited by COA, signifying the highest standards of service to the community,” credit.org President and Chief Relationship Officer Melinda Opperman said. “We couldn’t be prouder to have successfully renewed this accreditation through 2025.”

This achievement was reached through objective verification by peer reviewers and signals high standards for fiscal integrity, agency governance, and service delivery policies to credit.org’s stakeholders, including donors, board members, community partners and the clients served.

“This accreditation is conferred on our entire organization,” Opperman said, “not just any one program or service we offer. It’s a testament to the quality of our people and the integrity, compassion and excellence they represent.”

COA’s review process measures organizations against national standards for best practices, ensuring the work done is responsive, respectful and effective. Clients served are treated with dignity and respect, and their concerns are addressed while ensuring privacy and confidentiality at all times.

During the most recent review, attention was also paid to ensure the agency had developed proper protocols in response to COVID-19, guaranteeing the safety of visitors, clients and staff.

“Successfully renewing accreditation takes countless hours of hard work and dedication,” Opperman said. “Everyone in the community we serve can be assured we’ll continue to constantly strive for even higher levels of excellence. Everyone on the credit.org team deserves heartfelt congratulations for this significant achievement.”
