Bilingual Education Coordinator
Carlos Vargas is a bilingual Education Coordinator who helps improve the lives and financial well-being of individuals and families by providing quality financial education and counseling. Carlos first joined credit.org in 2008 as a foreclosure prevention counselor before becoming an Education Coordinator with credit.org. Carlos personally helped hundreds of distressed homeowners through the Homeowner’s HOPE™ Hotline, a counseling service provided by credit.org and the Homeownership Preservation Foundation.
With years of experience in the financial industry, Carlos brings with him the expertise and commitment necessary to assist distressed homeowners, pre-purchase homebuyers and consumers facing credit, debt and money management issues. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the California State University Fullerton, and is certified as a Consumer Credit Counselor by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC).
Carlos has been a featured presenter at workshops throughout the Southern California region. Carlos has participated as a subject matter expert at a live phone bank provided by Univision for the Southern California area and was the featured speaker for a Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Seminar at the Los Angeles Convention Center that served hundreds of homeowners. Carlos continues to use his expertise and build upon his ever-growing knowledge to help clients develop life-long skills and understanding of important financial matters.
