CCCS Credit Counseling
CCCS (Consumer Credit Counseling Services) provided by credit’s NFCC-Certified consumer credit counselors offer credit counseling services that are designed to help with your credit card debt. Our credit counseling services are confidential, comprehensive and free.
An Introduction to CCCS Consumer Credit Counseling Services
Credit.org counselors are certified by the National Foundation of Credit Counseling (NFCC). The NFCC promotes the national agenda for financially responsible consumer behavior and governs the credit counseling education process. Since 1983, credit.org’s nonprofit credit counseling agency has maintained an A rating with The Better Business Bureau.
When you decide to make credit.org your financial education partner, a CCCS credit counselor will teach you how to live a money-smart lifestyle by avoiding incurring additional credit card debt, and offering help with credit card debt. Your NFCC-certified consumer credit counselors will examine your current unsecured debt level and may recommend a disciplined action plan to achieve your debt relief goal. This type of debt relief process is called a Debt Management Plan (DMP).
DMPs often involve requesting concessions from your creditors to establish a pay-off plan. On your behalf, your counselor will request reduced credit card fees, interest rates, and other concessions offered by your creditors in return for your commitment to a Debt Management Plan with credit.org.
