Anyone thinking about buying a home can benefit, whether you're just starting to save, improving your credit, or actively shopping for a home. No prior experience is required.

Is the class really free?

Yes. As a nonprofit financial counseling agency, we offer this orientation at no cost to help consumers make informed homebuying decisions.

What will I learn during the class?

You'll learn about:

- Down payment assistance programs

How long is the virtual orientation?

Most Home Buyer Orientation classes last about 45 to 60 minutes, including time for questions.

Do I have to be ready to buy a home now?

Not at all. Many attendees are planning to buy within the next one to three years. The class helps you create a roadmap so you're prepared when the time is right.

There is a charge of $150 for your pre-purchase or HOEPA counseling session.* In cases where individuals are unable to afford our services, managers have the liberty to reduce or waive associated fees. Grants may be available for HECM counseling.
